Description / Requirements
Position: Account Manager, Power Technologies
Reports to: Senior Sales Manager
Responsibilities:
Account Management for Key OEM & Tier 1 Accounts
Products are Stamped Steel, Heat Shields, Molded Plastics and Molded Rubber Gaskets
Assist in development of and execute sales strategy and objectives
Represent OEM & Tier 1 as voice-of-the-customer within Dana
Responsible for customer metrics for represented products (quality, warranty, etc)
Maintain accurate Revenue Forecast (+/- 2%25) for the account
Assemble product quotations, gain internal approval and present to the customer
Align with the customer and drive the relationship for increased product placement
Understand organizational structure to effectively build relationships and engage customer
Understand and communicate the technical value and manufacturing processes of the specified products
Negotiate with customers on pricing, material protection, and other important matters (quality, delivery, timing, etc).
Build relationships with customers at different levels, departments, and locations
Oversee accounts receivable activity for ensuring recovery of costs
Engage in product discussions and presentations to customer purchasing and engineering
Interact with internal Dana teams to achieve objectives
Maintain current knowledge of competitor s activity and significant changes.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years in automotive OE sales or business development with proven results, and a Bachelor s degree or minimum of 2 years in automotive OE sales or business development and a Master s degree
Strong understanding of complicated technical products and market knowledge
Strong strategic planning skills, and market understanding
Proven success in managing customers
Previous success in problem solving including ability to identify and resolve issues
Demonstrated strong business acumen including knowledge of manufacturing, finance and marketing
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner
Domestic / International travel as required to support customer activities
Strong personal computer skills, including experience with MS Office software and other types of specific business management software.
Strong negotiating skills
Education:
Bachelor degree in business, engineering or marketing required
Master s degree (MBA) a plus
